WATER'S EXPRESSIONS of PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK, CROATIA

More

In the heart of Croatia there is one of the most evocative places in Europe, and perhaps in the world. It is no coincidence that it is one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The National Park of Plitvice Lakes, an area of 29.685 hectares, is rich in natural wonders and scenography that follow each other in perpetual mutation, an infinite becoming of breath-taking landscapes.

We will grasp the peculiarities of a system of 16 lakes, separated by natural travertine dams, that tumble one into the other through a series of beautiful waterfalls, surrounded by thick beech and fir woods, painted with ochre and yellow colours to the warm autumn light, where there are various photographic opportunities allowing us to practice the different shooting techniques. We can walk along various paths, never difficult and accessible to children, for reaching some remote points of the park and enjoy the beautiful sights of the lakes from the appropriate view-points. It is mandatory to walk on the trails and is forbidden to boardwalk and to have a bath in the lakes.
If you don’t want to walk, it is possible to board special vehicles connecting the more popular sites, and the ferries that cross the largest lake, Kozjak Lake, connecting the Lower Lakes with the Upper Lakes.
It is possible to move independently inside the park, focusing on the favourite subjects, or follow the itinerary of Franco and Sabrina.

This tour has been organized in detail to deepen the themes of terrestrial naturalistic landscape photography. Even skilled photographers will enjoy a unique experience, admiring enchanting landscapes totally free of dangers.
After dinner, fatigue permitting, will be dedicated to the discussion on nature photography. You can review the photographs taken during the day, exchange considerations, explore issues, etc.
In the park there are refreshment points and a very well equipped visitor centre.
